Engine Tick

Okay im no newb when it comes to fords...and i know my way around them pretty dang well... but honestly this one has me stumped....When im on the brakes pulling up to a stop sign i hear a pulsing grinding noise from the left front... so i thought brakes... i put new pads and rotors on all four corners cause they were getting pretty worn and even had some shoe seperating from the pad.... after that it still did it... so i took the the left front apart to make sure the pads are in place correctly... but i still get this pulsing grind under breaking and i dont know if its a wheel bering or what...anybody know what it could be?

Could be a bad wheel bearing, ball joint or tie-rod end. Couls also be the rear rotors are warped. Is the pulse in the pedal or steering wheel?

im pretty sure the rotors arent warped casue they are new, and the balljoints were just replaced last year and dont have more than 20,000 on em... so my guess is wheelbearing... are these a pain in the but to replace? and how can i check them...jack the front end up and move the wheel around and check for play up and down i guess.
