help with a diesel starting problem

I have a 92 f250 7.3 here is the problem I can go out and start the truck run it wherever and it runs fine if i stop and turn it off after it sits for a half hour or I should say cools down enough that the cylinders dont have enough heat in them to ignite fuel it wont start. It seems as if its getting fuel but all it will do is crank. Now if I let it go for like 2 hours it will fire right up. But then again just this evening i started it up backed up about ten feet and it died on me and wouldnt start back up I let it go for an hour or so went and tried it and it cranked right up. seems to me it must be some kind of relay or something electrical but then again my feeling is if its fetting fuel it should start. Things Ive done so far new fuel filter, all new injectors, and checked for power to the injector pump while problem exists where it wont start and that is good. Any ideas woud be greatly appreciated

Actually, it sounds as if your injection pump may be worn out. Be a good idea to ask this question again in the prepowerstroke forum, others there will confirm or deny what I said.

I would check the glow plugs and module. It sounds like it's not turning on the glow plugs unless it's cold enough. There may be a temp sensor that's not working right.

Warm starts don't need glow plugs, only cold. Injector pump failures show up warm, when the tolerances widen out due to heat expansion.
