Volant Intake issues?

Volant Intake issues?
I am just poking around to see if others have a similar issue as i do. I am not 100% certain, but it sounds like the intake makes a rattling, metal scraping sound around 2500RPM during high speeds. The sound goes away when I hit the gas or let off of it...Some people think it may be the 4x4 solenoid.....

When you hear the noise, pop it in 4x4, if the noise goes away, It's probably your solenoid. Although, what your describing sounds like it may be something else. Also, if it was the solenoid, you would feel it clunk and "lock in" as you slow to a stop.

well the RPM range you are talking about is the most common one for a drone of vibration in the intake tube. Look all around the tube and bracket, make sure the support of the power steering pump still has some padding on it between the metal bracket and the tube of the intake. Make sure the lid on the volant box is tight, and look for it rubbing against anything
