I noticed last night that my headlights were both out, highs and lows. I have Silverstars and upgraded harness. The bulbs are both new. I checked the fuse but I haven't gone any further to track down the problem yet. Just wondered if there was a relay that could be bad. May be a coincidence, but I just changed the batteries the day before the lights went out. I know this isn't a PSD issue, but I always get the best response from you nice folks in this forum. Thanks!
Steve
verify the bulbs are good. i would then check the switch. my buddy's light switch went out like that. would turn on running lights, but when switched over it would not turn on the headlights.
My buddy has silverstars in his chebby. They only lasted a couple months and they both burned up. The wierd thing is i have had silverstars for about 1 and half years and mine are still good.

sounds like the same problem, my running lights work, just no headlights. I'll have to figure out how to remove switch and test.

I have my lights on all the time and they only lasted about a year, they are nice bright lights, but don't last long! I'm sure they would do better if I only ran them at night. I just replaced them a few weeks ago.
Yours is probably just like mine. I just took a really small bladed screwdriver and popped it out. The whole switch and panel will come right out. It is held in with two spring clips on the sides of the switch. The clips are part of the switch so don't worry about them flying off. Once you have it out there are two plugs in the back that come out by depressing a lever on the plug.
I looked at that one yesterday and sent the guy a message asking if he had one for a 2002. Mine has the fog light switch built into the headlight switch and it doesn't look like that one.
If you happen to find one like mine let me know. Been looking but so far no luck. A buddy of mine was going to a wrecking yard in Houston today and he said if he sees one he will grab it but I have a feeling he won't find any there.
if you have to, you could always buy one of those, and then dremel a hole for the fog light switch. will still save you money. you had better find out for sure what the problem is though. i'll still let you know if i run across one.
