I have a 01 f350 lariet. I was just wondering if there might be a chance that the stock stereo might have an aux. audio input. I just wanted to know if there is an easier to connect my ipod, rather then the bulky fm transmitter deal i have now. I just dont really want to buy an aftermarket stereo.
I have the in dash CD changer, it does not have any inputs. Maybe if you have a tape player or single CD player it may have a CD changer input. It is pretty easy to pull the radio and take a look at the back.
I have seen some nice power outlet adapters that act as the FM modulator and hold the ipod. Maybe this could solve your problem.
I'll throw a whole-hearted endorsement for P.I.E.'s adapter. I've been running one for over a year. It blows away both the FM & cassette adapters. Worth every cent...for those of us that don't want to replace the stock head unit.
