plastic covers around heater core
I just finished replacing the heater core on my 1994 E150. I guess I am guilty of being too focused on the target and not how I got there. I am puzzled about putting the two covers back under the dash around the core. i figured out the one that goes right on top of the core. It has a molded drain hole and foam around the perimeter. The other piece has a rectange hole with foam around that. It is listed as part number 18C420 by Ford. It has tabs that appear to have fitted into matching slots in the other piece but the orientation does not seem correct.
Can someone with a diagram help me or look at their like van and tell me where how the top piece fits in there.
I am talking the black parts and not the dash trim that snaps in and out. Thanks.
