I had it in mine stacked with the Juice Platinum. I have some new parts coming including larger injectors so I'm switching out the Edge products for an SCT custom tuned for my mods.
It worked alot better to tune the tranny than the Juice for sure. I never stepped it up over the tow setting on power since I had it stacked with the Juice. I sold it to a friend and he has it set on tow and just loves the extra power.
I had a edge evolution, and my truck ran jerky at best. I did like the features it had, but it made my truck run bad..and every time I had to take my truck in for a flash I had to send it back to edge to get it updated..I tried a friends bully dog pup and it ran great on my truck. it need a update but I was able to do it my self by downloading update from there web site. but it did not have as many features on it..but easy to update, now my truck is a 03 and I heard some other that had issue with that. so might just be the 03's ???
I did settle on getting a Dfuser at half the price and a ton of power ! but its not software its hardware and you can adjust on the fly but no set points like transmission setting top speed setting etc.
good luck with you choice
you can run this in a stock truck right and it wont damage anything?
Ford says on it's warranty page that Ford WILL NOT provide warranty service to any vehicle that has a 'power adder' attached to it...period. If your vehile is 'out of warranty' or you can afford to pay for repairs yourself, buy and install it! As they say, "You play, you pay"

There's NO guarantee it won't have a problem. You NEED at least an EGT gauge to know you're not pushing it too hard. The stock exhaust is a bit restrictive which will allow the EGT's to get out of hand quickly.

When I bought my first parts, I knew this statement well. I also knew it because the dealer that sold me the truck lives across the street from me and because I was able to buy it via x-plan thanks to my sis-in-law who gave me the whole run down of these trucks and aftermarket hop up parts. I knew when I installed them that I no longer have a warranty, but I've had no problems to date and what the hay, not much longer and there's no Ford parts left to warranty but the block. Hahahahaha
EGT is Exhaust Gas Temperature. Get them too high and you could start melting things or blow the turbo apart. Hoping up is accomplished by injecting more fuel to burn so you're putting more pressure on the injection system than it was designed for. The connecting rods will be taking more pressure as well. I have 12K miles and have had these things since new. I haven't had even a hint of problem, BUT some people have had problems. Then they like to complain about Ford not warranting the engine. Well, they were warned. We just want you to know, there is a possibility of something failing when you hop up these trucks. If it does, there's a VERY good chance you won't get it fixed under warranty. You take a chance. I thought it was worth it. I love my truck and what I've done so far. Maybe I'm really lucky or maybe the guys with problems are just really unlucky. It's a chance you need to decide if you want to take. Whatever your choice, have fun with it!!
i knew all about the warranty issue. i plan on running the truck on the tow mod which is a extra 60 hosepower. i dont abuse my truck i just want a little more power. so if i run this program i should defintly buy a egt gauge and probe?

Many guys on here will tell you that the EGT gauge is the most important initial modification you can make. They also highly recommend a transmission temperature gauge as the factory one is more like an idiot light with a needle pointer on it.
ok i got one more question for you guys. if i put this programmer in my truck and drive at normal speeds and dont bet the **** out of it will the egt temps stay at low temps and not get to hot?
Yes, it should be fine. Should be. But things happen. Turbo vanes stick and overboost for example. The EGT gauge is again the most important modification you can do when making another mods. I must tell you, it's hard to stay out of it when you feel the extra power it gives you and even on the 60HP setting, the EGT's can still get too high.
