Wheel Bearing

I HAVE A 2001 RANGER XLT 2wd, I NEED THE REPLACE THE BRAKE ROTORS, DO I NEED TO REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARINGS OR CAN I REUSE THEM. I HAVE 93,000 ON MY TRUCK.

The bearings can be checked for wear and if they are ok reuse them.

Repack them though, and install new seals when you do so, fresh grease can make tapered bearings last almost indefinitly, use a high quality wheel bearing grease, I try to do it every 50,000 or less.

on the high quality bearing grease make sure it's listed for disk brakes, some of the good quality grease is not listed that way and the disk brakes need specific grease due to the heat they produce. Thats actually a common mistake that has caused more than one set of bearings to go bad.
