i have a 250 with the towing mirrors and i found a couple of cb antennas that i want to mountt on my mirrors...does someone make a mounting bracket that mounts the antennas on the shafts of the mirrors?
If you ever find a mount for even one side, please speak up. Since these are plastic mounts, you will not only need a mechanical connection, but an electrical one as well for a good AC ground and a good SWR.
youre not finding an easy way to mount them to the mirrors. and like N6 said ..you wont get a good ground to get a low SWR. HIGH SWR and POOF goes your radio. You could get a magnetic antenna like the K40 or one of the Wilsons..then smack every low laying branch and drive thru with it. Or mount one in the corner of your bed like i did...
..or get a no ground antenna kit..they work..just not as good.

Thats the fun of having a magnet mount antenna. I used to different magnet mount antennas and use a spring. I hit alot of branches and low pipes and over hangs, but it will never fall off the truck.
Another option is to get a pair of BOAT antennea. Most boat entennea have a built-in ground plane because most boats are composite - OR go to a motorcycle shop for the same reason.
