I was told by my alignment shop that i need to change my inner tie rod end. Does anyone know the procedure to do this?

It's pretty simple, I'm guessing this one has rack and pinion steering?

Break loose the tie rod jam nut (just enough to be loose but do not turn it).

Remove the cotter pin on the outer tie rod end nut.

Remove the outer tie rod end mounting nut.

Pop the tie rod loose from the knuckle using a tie rod puller (highly recommended) or tap in the side of the knuckle with a hammer until it pops loose (but this can damage the knuckle).

Unscrew the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod.. make sure you count how many turns it takes to remove.

Remove jam nut that you previously loosened.

Remove squeeze clamps and remove rack end boot.

Using a large wrench, or inner tie rod tools, unscrew the inner tie rod end from the rack.

Apply lock-tite to new inner tie rod end and screw and tighten onto rack to specification.

Reinstall boot and clamps.

Reinstall jam nut.

Reinstall outer tie rod the same amount of turns it took to remove.

Install into knuckle... install and torque mounting nut.. install new cotter pin.

Tighten jam nut.

Repeat for other side... Then you'll have to take it to an alignment shop and have the front toe reset.

Good luck!
