Wiring question

I am trying to get power in my camper. I have a 07 f350 with camper package and when I hook the 6 pin conector to the plug on the hitch I only get power to the outside of the camper and none to the inside. Is there a fuse that has to be installed like the gm models.

If so were would I start looking. thanks

Peter

Correct me if I am wrong, your camper is a trailer and your powering the trailer with the 7 pin RV connector on the truck. When you plug your trailer into the trucks trailer wiring, it's only suppling 12v to the lights and maybe an external power port. Ford usually ships thier trucks ready and you shouldn't need to add a fuse like Chevy's.

Its actually a 7 pin connector (6 around the outside and 1 middle wire). Sounds like a fuse is missing in your main block under your steering wheel behind the panel. You can also check with a meter and see if your plug on the truck is connected yet. If not, you might need to get a pig tail and some relays for under the hood. These are located near the brake master cylinder under the hood. My old truck came with these relays and pig tails to connect up a TBC and put power to the plug but were not installed. My new truck came ready to go as it has the trailer brake controller and all is wired and done. If you have the TBC ect already, perhaps you have a fuse problem or your camper plug is not wired to match the truck.

Sorry so many options, but thats wiring....
