Use this as a guide it's from the Ford 93 RV towing brochure re the "Maximum CGVW of truck and trailer.
Bumper hitch trailer.
F series with 7.3 and automatic is:
355....12000lbs
410....17000lbs
Fifth wheel trailer.
F series with 7.3 automatic is:
355....12000lbs
410....17000lbs
513....18000lbs

Most of the pull limits are with DOT and the trucks CGVW rating....also the state/province you live in.............
A lotta folks pull more than they should and find out after the fact, usually when they are involved in an accident as the innocent party. Insurance companies love to dump on those guys......and make them the scapegoat.
