1995 E-150, 5.0L, Surging/Rich
Hey Everyone, Have a 5L ,'95, 150. Drove it the other day after sitting for 2 weeks. Starts and runs down road well, but at idle, parked it surges up and down. Not too much but like it is hunting. Also black soot in tail pipe. I guess maybe time for Tune Up? Any thing I should change when I am doing the plugs,cap,rotor? 139K New O2 sensor? What am I looking for. What type of plugs and T-Up parts? Wheelchair van so I need the best! Thanks, Kevin

Regular MOTORCRAFT plugs, not platinums. Get GOOD wires not the crap ones from autozone. I think I paid $~50 at advance for the last set I bought, I'd recommend the $65 set at napa tho, also get the high quality (not accel or MSD) cap and rotor. I think my last cap and rotor were blue streak. The wells parts from AZ will work, but expect to replace them again in a year.
