They seem to work intermitently when you twist the **** counter clockwise...
I LOVE my latest junkyard score! $3 for a "Switch". The black box (control module) was permanatly connected so they treated it as just a wiper switch... It took like 2 minutes to get it out as the dash bezel was out already. And just as I read here it just plugged in. All I had to do extra was connect the ground wire.

Oh Yeah, true story. My cousin has a doctor degree and we where out in a light rain in her car and she kept switching the wipers on and off. I pointed to the intermitent setting and said "why don't you use this?" and she said "I would, but they don't always work..."
Later she got it and has been using them in light rain ever since...

Ford called them pulse wipers (in '83)...I got mine as part of the Convenience Group, which included a 12" inside rearview mirror (lmc has em), "headlamp ON" buzzer, and passenger side vanity mirror...MSRP of $87.
