Performance Modules vs. Transmission Problems

Need some help on this one. At 5000 miles I installed a Predator Performance module that connects between the ICP sensor and also links to the MAP sensor wire (no user adjustments - either on or off). Last week (51,000 miles) I had to have the tranny rebuilt due to slippage between 3-4 (direct). There was some bearing "burn" also. My tranny guy said that he thinks this was due to the increased HP but nothing done to increase line pressure in the tranny. I LOVE the increased HP of the Predator but can't afford a new tranny every 50k. So, I was wondering about an Edge/Juice/Platinum. Any advice would be welcome.

I recommend that you call Eric or Ted at Innovative Diesel, have them send you custom tuned SCT Xcalibrator 2, and then enjoy fantastic power, perfect shifts at all power settings and the bliss of not having any aftermarket hardware to remove if you go to the dealer for service.

I currently have an Edge w/Attitude, but I'm removing it and getting an SCT custom tuned from Innovative Diesel. I haven't had the experience yet, but from what I've read, it's the best there is.

The Innovative Diesel Custom SCT is by far our best selling programmer for the 6.0L. I run one in my 05 on Extreme Race, and beat my truck for customers daily. 20k miles with this tuner and not a single problem. No matter who you buy it from you cant go wrong. Eric and ted are both great people to work with.

I Would Have To Agree, The Sct From Innovative Diesel Is Awesome !! Controls My Tranny Much Better Than My Edge A2 Platimun Ever Did , The Only Thing That I Do Miss Is To Be Able To Change The Progrm On The Fly, I Ran The Predator Performance Module With My Edge Paltimin A2 For A Whil Eon Setting 2 And 3 And I Will Say The Sct Is A Much Better Product By Far And Personaly I Did Not Care For The Way That Edge Tuned The Tranny , Much Better With Sct And I Also Am Running A Suncoast Tripple Lock Converter, , Give Ted A Call At Innovative And Put A Few Bucks In Your Pocket And Get The Sct Just My Opinion Though , Good Luck With What Ever Way You Go

Not to be confused we have two companies selling Predators. One by Dr. Performance which is an in-line module and one by Granatelli (Diablo sport) that is a flash tuner. The Diablo Sport tuner is the better choice of the two.

Max, I believe he is talking about the DR. Performance Predator module, not the Diablosport type programmer. We have a line on these, but they dont give me the warm fuzzys if you know what I mean.

But you just said that didnt you. lmao

Correct, I was referring to the Dr. Performance product. Didn't know until now there were two companies.
