From what I have seen, the short wide beds are the same, as are of course the long beds, for 64,65, and 66. I havent seen any different, except for maybe the 4X4s.
I keep seeing this description of SWB as short wide bed. I though SWB and LWB meant short and
long whell base respectively. How could the bed
be wider for one model than the other if the
cab is the same. Would that not look strange.
Short wheel base and long wheel base were commonly used and understood phrases until the recent rise in popularity of extended cab trucks. In general, a SWB had a 6ft bed and LWB had an 8 foot (some variation, but its close). Adding an extended cab lengthened the wheel base, and thus confusion arose, since you had a longer wheel base, but not necessarily a longer bed. Now most people use the SWB to refer to a fleetside short bed (Short Wide Bed) and many use SSS to refer to a short step side.
To me, it's still Short and Long wheel base, although a short bed is not necesarily on a chassis with a short wheel base, as in the case of x-cab trucks.

Nate is 100% right. SWB is short wide bed and LWB is long wide bed or "fleetside" - the fenders are inside the bed walls. SNB is short narrow bed and LNB is long narrow bed or "stepside" - the fenders are outside of the bed walls
