I am not very knowledgeable about mechanical repairs. But I figure that something liike a power seat should be repairable. Even by someone as green as me.
The switch mechanism for the power seat does not work.
I checked the fuse and its ok as it also works the power pedals, and they operate. It makes absolutely no noise when I engage the four way toggle, or either of the the two way switches. My guess is, that it is the control box attached to the toggle switches is shot.
Further complicating the matter is that the seat is stuck in its current position and the two rear floor bolts are inaccesable for seat removal.
Can you access the seat control motors to wiggle the connector off? If you can, put a multimeter on them, and measure the voltage being delivered to the motor when you push the switch. That will tell you if it's a motor problem or a switch/logic circuit problem.
