I have an 02 PSD Lariet and would like to install a CB radio plus other lights and was wondering a good place to hook up the power wire to. Was looking at the fuse box but no free spaces and didn't want to just cut and splice into a red hot wire. Any advice or pictures would be great. Thanks a bunch PSD enthusiasts!!
I suggest running a hot and ground all the way to the battery. This will cause less engine noise on your radio. Make sure you put an inline fuse under the hood. I've got 2 new power lines run from the battery to inside. One for the radio and one for my inverter.

Yes and be careful how you route the wire. I made the mistake of running my power wire past the wiper motor on my '91. You could hear it plain as day whenever the wipers were on.
So what gage wire would I need to run, I might run more then just the CB on the same line. Plus should I put the fuse right at the battey. Thanks for the info.
For the lights you're wanting to install, what are they? Marker lights? If they're LED, you can just wire them off of the brown parking light circuit, as they'll draw so little current that it won't be an issue at all. Some spots to tap into that are at the headlight switch, license plate light wires back behind the bumper, and all along the frame in the big loom, if you can find the wire in there.

14 for the CB, 12 at least for an inverter. Be careful not to put anything that will cause noise on the same line as the CB. My fuses are up at the master cylinder area just because it's a convenient place.
