Question Rad core support

Greetings from Germany My first thred and as always a question or 2
My rad core support (1984 F250 manual trans) is from a gas engine that has been chopped at the bottom so the diesel rad will fit. can those be bought new (diesel ones) ? finding used ones will be a bit difficult i think

I know the glow plugs are bad yet i would like to use a controller from the later 6.9/7.3 engines (on the 87 and later ones ) will i need to change anything in the original wiring ? I know that i will need a new engine harnes the glow plugs and the controller

Gruess Gott,

1.0 Rad Support:

Given the age (1984) I think getting a new one would be more difficult. Ford already is no longer offering certain parts for these trucks. Used part may be your only bet. I would imagine that there are not to many of these trucks in Germany.

2.0 Glow Plug Controller:

Many of the 1984 to 1986 truck owners have gone to manual glow buttons as the glow plug controllers on these trucks were not very good. You can switch to a newer controller (1987 to 1994), it just takes a bit of wiring knowhow. I got the newer style controller on both my 91' and 93' truck and they work really good.
