water setting on cab step

I know this subject has been addressed before, but my searches have yeilded nothing. When ever it rains, the water collects on the cab step and it seems to me the door seal traps it there. How are you all fixing this problem ?thanx for any input.

Sounds to me like your seal is leaking at the top causing water to run in and sealing at the bottom traping the water inside. May need to replace the seal around the door. I had the same problem and have a new seal. Just not that far along yet.

Good seal is important, even after replacing all the door seals on my 65, occasionally find water collects at step. If notice, there are relief holes along the edge of the door for any moisture, or condensation that accumulates. Suggest purchasing quality seals, and not the one size fits all.

Dave, that is my concern exactly, the relief holes are between the seal and the step, so any moisture collecting in the door (or rain that runs down the window do to poor window seals) drains out of those holes and sits on the step. Can I expect that even with new seals there will always be a little water there?

Remove doors for repair and painting and not sure if perfectly aligned. Have tried adjusting door hinges and sticker plates but still find water occasionally accumulates at step. Will be interesting to find if other members who have replaced door seals have eliminated this. Condensation will naturally accumulate in the door but to excessive assume would suggest need for new seals. Ideally, if proper seal and door perfectly aligned should eliminate water except for any condensation. It is interesting to note, when I removed the cab and flushed with rust inhibitor found there are a number of relief holes thoughout the cab. Behind the seat at bottom of cab wells, along the side of the inner cab behind the vent doors, etc.
