blinking ABS light 94 180K Miles
Where are these things and will they do this. They're only $15.00 at Auto Zone and I'd like to replace them.
Other than it not coming out of park, the brakes seem just fine. I have to turn the key a notch and take the gear shift out of park while im turning the key.
I recently had the ignition switch and computer changed, would either of these cause this problem. If I go back to them, they'll say I need brakes now. They get you coming and going. 180K miles and this was the first time the truck ever seen a shop, but I would of never found the fried computer.
Thanks.
fordfuelinjection.com shows you how.
if you truck is not coming out of gear I would suspect the BOO(brake on/off switch) switch
two ways to test this that I know of
1) push brakes and see if brake lights work
2) lock the over drive off, get in to 3rd gear and mantain 40mph(or till you can just feeel the torque converter lock up) mantian that speed for aprx 2/10th of a mile, and push the brake pedal down while holding the gas steady, torqe converter should unlock if the BOO switch is good.
