Well I took some poser shots of my truck. The suspension seems to do very well, the shackle flip moves well too. The coil almost completley compressed... later this week ill flex it out again, I think it can go alot more that in these pics. I do not have any rubbing issues with the 36's either....
Next on the list 4.56 gears and welding the rear end. I have some plans for next summer, im thinking of a np435/np205 combo for my 390, then a dana 60 front leaf sprung.
Good lookin truck man! I wish I didnt have to drive mine every day, i'd get a lot more done on it My little "projects" always have to be wrapped up in a day or two
Nice pics, and neat fender trim. A bunch of thought shows. My ONLY addition would be to fill the bumper w/ concrete or weld an I-beam inside ( overkill ? ) Again - good job
I actually didn't know it was a 2wd until I saw the pic of the I Beam....
Either way, very nice truck.
How did you get the tires to not be like this\--/ ? Did you bend the I beams?

I welded drop brackets, some old pictures in my gallery, under 67 F100
I love how you made a fun looking 2wd. I kind of wish I had done that instead of the 4wd conversion. I go about everywhere I need in 2wd with a locker and swampers.
Of course, I'm still waiting for my parts to arrive to I can match the front to my recently regeared rear. 4wd's just there to get home incase I tear out my lock-right (again)

Yes but I didnt do much research with it because I had my i-beam drop brackets welded on already. I saw 1 or 2 people on this forum flipping them, but it looked like they had to make a brand new i-beam bracket for it to mount too. I think I took the easy way out just dropping them down a few inches.
Soon im getting the 4.56 gears, and locking the rear end... Ill see how it wheels. If plan goes accordingly, I will be picking up a dana 60 to swap in the front for next year sometime, and keep the 36's for a while with the 9".
