Clutch Squeek!!!!
Hey ....fellow Ford Enthusiasts:
I replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder on my 1984 F150 2x2. I also had the problem of firewall flex/crack where the clutch master cylinder was located. I got it all installed repaired/reinforced etc. and the throwout bearing (I assume) squeeks while sitting at idle and out of gear. The clutch master cylinder has an adjustable linkage from the clutch pedal. Is it common practice to adjust this linkage until the squeek stops? I can press the pedal in about 1/4" and it stops. Everything works great and the clutch is perfect except for the squeek/squeek/squeek?

i have the same truck, with all of the same new parts, and unforunitly the same issue. I am still looking for a solution to that problem. but i can tell you that ajusting the clutch pedel, or puting a light amount of pressure on the pedel for any leigth of time is NOT a solution. by doing this you will only heat up the through out bearing and make it wear out very quickly
