hi all im thinking of puting my small block 350 in my 1961 ford truck do i have to do a lot of modifying. or can i buy a bolt in kit . thanks in advance.
A 350 will fit right in your ford no adaptors needed, heck I've put as many as ten of them in the back of my ford trucks. they are great for added traction too!!!!

Hi harley, sorry for the harassment from these other guys. The fact is, this is a Ford web site, and the LAST thing we want to see is a Ford truck contaminated with a Che*y motor. YUCK! P-TOOY! There are mounts to accomplish this, but let me make a suggestion. Sell that Che*y motor and use the money to either rebuild the existing motor, or get a Ford motor to put in. Take the high road! If nothing else, you will earn the respect of Ford enthusiasts around the world.
The only good Che*y motor is.................Well Ill think of something later!
Hey, I think Harley can put what ever he wants in his Ford... I know plenty of die hard Ford fans here where I live that would drop a small block Chevy in thier Trucks, because they're cheap and easy to get a hold of. Harley is gonna have to modify his truck to put a modern power plant in anyway, so why does it matter if he uses Ford or Chevy... as long as he's happy and does the job right!
Harley001, I wouldn't apologize to anyone. You still have a ford truck in my opinion it does not matter what motor you put in it you still have the right to ask for help. Some of these people just need to get a life.
You boys are like the president, you think you can do anything you want, as long as YOU want to.
The man can sell his sorry ol Ford truck and maybe find a gm product that needs a motor. But that is for another list.
We don't muck up Ford trucks on this list. Take it else where.
Maybe you can write Ken and get him to set up a new list for you, where you can be free to discuss that kind of blasphemy, or just start your own list.

Sounds like your describeing yourself, John, as much as anyone else.
You strike me as a rude and ignorant person. And ignorance is the breeder of stupidity!
Besides, I thought these boards were for FORD owners to come and find help and answers for thier questions, no matter what...... if you dont like how someone wants to do the job, either dont answer or be more respectful of the mans opinions when you tell them how you feel.
Yup, That is about how I thought you would respond. I guess I'm an ignorant redneck by your standards, but I aint stupid enough to come on The Ford Truck Enthusiasts list and ask how to put a chevy engine in a Ford truck. It just aint natural.
You stick around son and you might learn something worthwhile, but some how I doubt it.
