May have a vacuum problem

I have a 1998 F150 with a 4.6 V8. I posted in an earlier post that I was getting a trouble code of p0133 02 sensor slow response (bank1 sensor1). After searching some of the other threads I was reminded of some other symptoms that I am having. It seems like the trasmission is shifting hard sometimes also and the truck has backfired a couple of times. I am wonder if I may have a vacuum leak and would like to know the best method of finding it. Can someone give me some advise

I have an E-150 351W and the pollution control is removed :P-- I had a hesitation at start up and found a vacum leak on a 4-5 port manifold and it always shifted hard. Now with the extra ports pluged it only shifts hard on the down shift. I know I have a small leak at the intake manifold because of a small oil leak(I wonder if Bar's will help). But you could be right. I hope you get your answer.
