Hello everyone,
Im new to the forums my name is Pete im from NY.I have a 73 ranger XLT (f350).
my Grandfather had a 79 ranger which he pased to my dad which then became mine,However the body was in bad shape so we picked up a 73 ranger from South Carolinaand putthe 73 body onto the 79 chasis.Painted the body and shined up the upper chrome. Im missing some of the lower 73 molding and was wondering if anybody knows where i would be able to purchase any.Ive looked through many catalouges and my online search did not do so good. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Hi Pete and welcome. You can try Dennis Carpenter but Im not sure they would even be making repro moldings for that. I do see them pop up on Ebay from time to time so that may be an option.
where in NY are ya from? I was from Medford out on the island, just moved to NC about 5 or 6 months ago. Still missing many things from back home except the crazy housing prices and the taxes.

FTE has numerous sponsors that sell parts. May I suggest looking at them ...they are listed on the left side of the page.
Please describe the chrome trim you are looking for as there were several types.
Also, When you post a question please put the topic in the title to help us and other users when searching topics.
May I direct you toward the Read First Threads located at the top of this and other forums.... as well.
It will help considerably when navigating FTE

Im form Long Beach NY (and yeah the prices are crazy)
I wasnt aware that there were diferent types of lower molding for the 73 f-series. I know throughout the years the molding changed. Im talking about the wide moulding. Its about 4 inches thick.

Look in my gallery at my truck. I call my lower molding race track molding but I don't know if thats an official term. Anyways if it is what you are looking for I'm going to eliminate mine during the resto so a deal could be struck. PM me if you are interested.
