abs/speed sensor
Just wanted to say that this forum is the best!!!
Yesterday i had an ABS lamp illuminate and it was
accompanied by some scary symptoms. My speedo
needle bounced all around the dial and my transmission
shifted erratically and kept finding 'false neutrals'. i was
quite concerned that i might have two problems going
on, and that one might get real expensive. I limped the
truck (99 F250SD V10) home from work and jumped online.
Sure enough, someone else had already experienced the
same symptoms. I ran out to NAPA on the Electra-Glide
and picked up the $9 sensor. As promised it took all of
10 minutes to install and the truck ran great! Can't thank
all of you enough!! And it got me out on the bike for a beautiful
fall foliage ride to boot!!!

I must agree this is a most helpful site. What are the odds, but I have the identical truck, and had these exact same symptoms on Sunday. After a disgusting ride from one auto parts store to another looking at the less than useful $20 service manuals I gave up, and hit this site on a Google search. I signed up for the logon, and hit this post not more than an hour after it was made. Just put a new sensor in my truck, took a quick ride about the block, and whadala-presto-fixo!
