General Questions

I have a 97 f150 scab 4x4 4.6L
I have some general questions about stuff I have noticed crawling under my truck.

After the muffler but before the back tires the frame ends and the next section is bolted to the frame. It looks like it was done at the factory, but are they all like this?

If I bang on the transmission pan should I be able to hear the fluid slosh inside? Yes my fluid level on the dipstick is good.

If I benchpress the drive shaft, should the transfercase move up and down with it?

If I lift the front of my truck by adjusting the torsion bars will it be level with the back, higher, or lower? I prefer the look of the front bein lower than the rear, but my front could use a lil lift. I actually think the guy who had the truck before me may of lowered the Tbars alil.

Thanks

Can't help you there...it's dark and my truck is 200 yards away

No. If I bang on your head, could I hear your brain slosh around? Nawww...Im kidding!

If I benchpress the drive shaft, should the transfercase move up and down with it?

Mabey just a couple of milimeters...but nothing too noticeable.

Yes, you can get as much as 2" of lift out of the torsion bars. But keep in mind that it will be much harder on your ball joints, and cause them to fail at a faster rate.

A couple of milimeters huh? More like 3/4 of an inch in either direction... Wounder if this is related to the clunk you feel / hear when accelerating from a stop?
