This is at the top of the first series of obstacles for American Fork Canyon I believe. It turned out this is the only one the camera actually took until I figgured out that something was wrong with the camera. So all the obstacle pictures I worked so hard to get are gone. You can tell from this picture but I could see nothing but sky for most of this too-long-for-comfort climb.
This is the group from U4WDA and TTORA I came accross removing a burned out Pathfinder. Apparently they were happy to see me... or at least the 8 foot box on my truck. I traded my services with the, now, cut up pathfinder for some bottled water.
Considering the truck is stock I was very happy with how it preformed. It consitently climbed rock covered hills that I had a very hard time not sliding down on foot. The PSD is the only way to go - All the torque on demand made it very easy to control wheel spin which. I was able to idle over obstacles that smaller better equiped trucks were having to Banzai. Just need some more ground clearance in the middle and a locker or two.... and some bigger tires =)
