Yes I know it might be a waste of money and if I dont do it or have it done right I will have to live with a hole in my roof that leaks from the morning dew. Has anyone done it and have any ideas on what to look for or to watch out for.
Nieghbor has a 96 F250 ex cab and he had a mustage sunroof put in it when new. Its fine. I've had 3 of the cut a hole and bolt in place types . The longest I own truck with one was 5 years and it started to leak around seal . But sold before checked on seal. Local glass shop has them with leak warenty. the best one I had actually had drain tubes
and small groove under glass to catch any water that snuck in. But it was a Conversion (A Ford garage had loaded it up.)and have no clue of the maker. I like sunroofs but I guess with all the air conditioned trucks now not a big option. Good luck

My buddy used to put them in trucks when he worked at a glass shop, and his turned out pretty well. He said the biggest thing was to make sure it didnt leak, and he put good seals around where he cut. He didnt really get into depth with me about how he made them not leak though.
