After putting the windshield in my 56 , I installed the inside molding. The molding looks odd . It lays flat in the middle & at each end , but is twisted in two places , for lack of a better word to describe it. I realize it would block the holes for the air from the defroster if it were flat all the way across the dash . Is it supposed to "twist"? I've never noticed it before. Thanks
by molding I assume you mean the defroster deflector strip across the top of the dash?
It doesn't go tight to the glass if that's what you are trying to get it to do, it butts up against little tabs across the dash and sits back from the glass. Or are you maybe trying to put it on upside down?
if its anything like my 54 there are two recesses in one side that match the area over the defroster vents these go up againsrt the windshield rubber and like ax said it goes on the little tabbs sticking off the dash you dont have to torque it down just snug just my .02$ for what its worth
