Frame Question
Just curious if anyone has placed a 73-79 1/2 ton 2wd on a 92-96 frame. I have a 79 and plan many changes for it, fuel injection and a 5 spd being two of them. I picked up a donor 1992 2wd. Out of curiosity I measured the frames and they seem very close in measurments. Some mounts are a little different but overall look managable. With that said, I'm debating placing the 79 sheet metal on the 92. Any thoughts or advice from those that did one or considered doing one?

the bed would swap right over, but you have to make custom cab and core support mounts. if you are staying 2wd it's not worth the trouble. I put a 79 body on a 87 f-350 heavy duty duallie 4x4 chassis, it was alot of work and time.
