2001 explorer no go

2001 explorer no go

my mom's 2001 explorer 5.0 started acting funny this past tues. one morning she went out to start it and nothing. no lights, nothing. anyway. i hooked up to the truck and it jump started right away. then this afternoon she calls me saying it won't start and won't jump. she calls triple A and they come out and cant get her started. when we hooked up the jumper cables to the Triple A truck no lights came on in her truck. obviously this isn't right. so as the triple a guy it leaving i figure what the heck i'll try it. i hookedup my truck to hers and it started right up. drove to autozone and the batt and alt. checked just fine. anyone have any ideas what could be wrong. the autozone guy said it could be the starter. but in my opinion we should have seen some sign of power, dome lights, radio, dash lights, something. but that didn't happen until i hooked up to her. Help, any thoughts. don't want to pay to fix this if i don't gotta.
