Ok, I am inbetween getting one of these 2 trucks, cause I need, NEED a truck again.... which do you think?
2003 F150 FX4 Lariat - 51000 miles - $18500
or
2004 F150 Lariat - 74000 miles - $17900

With that little info. I'd go for the '03. Might wanna post a little more info. Same cab style ? Is the '04 a 4x4? What do you need it for? engines? etc.
They'd gotten the bugs pretty well worked out by '03, then introduced some new one's for '04...

How long are you planning on keeping the new truck?
The reason being, the 04 is a much nicer truck in my opinion - however like all newer models it will be prone to have more niggly issues.
Having said that - the 04 is a steal (even taking into account the miles) compared to the 03...

Need to see a Carfax, an OASIS, look at and drive both trucks before I could express an opinion. The more I knew about the history of either truck, the better informed I would feel in making a decision.

The only prob with all that is... One truck is 2 hours east and one is 2 hours west.... I can carfax em though..
