this might be a stupid question, but will a Hb from a 302, or other v8 not fit on it? or no way to fabricate it on? basically i want to build up my 300. i have one comlete motor thats running, and one that just need a carb, so im not worried about blwoing one up, if i over power it. ive heard rumors of cuttin up 2 ls1 heads, and welding them back together and they will match up to the 300. is this true or a myth? if so roller rockers valve giudes and the whole 9 yards would go to the heads to handle the hp. ive seen guys talk on here about t-bird turbos, but i want to run something bigger. ive seen pics of a guy wiht a 265 chevy i belive wiht a 6-53 blower on the side of it. and ive also thought of a blow through supercharger. would i be better off wiht a custom fuel injection system, or run a nice 4bbl? i will most likely bore and stroke it to a 312ci, and do alot of head work, and maybe custom intake and headers. i dont knwo alot about camshafts, so im uncertain there on where to look. has anybody used the DUI distributor for the 300? worth buying or anything better? id liek to make my once farm truck into a nice street/strip truck, and rather not go wiht a v8, just to be different.
I've heard guys using one from Fisher I believe its called. I have no part numbers for one though. Others on here might. I used one from pioneer it was part number DA3003. A very nice piece and well made. Not sure if you would consider it a performance part though.
