Ive been reading about the 10k mod and the clamp mod and was wondering if anyone out there has done these ? I want to try one , ive read that the clamp mod is a new version and does the same thing but without the rough idle and it doesnt hurt the sensor. Ive also read that some people did the 10k mod with a variable resistor so it can be adjusted on the fly.
I would love some input on these because i dont know wich one to do, need some pros and cons.
Also is the IDM mod only for the older 7.3 PSD because i can seem to find and write ups on it being done on other than the mid 90s PSD.
Please help I would like to do one this afternoon.
i cant help you with the resistor, 10k or clamp mod, however i know that the 94.5-97 powerstrokes had an IDM that ran 110 volts. the new body style trucks are 120 volts, but my teacher says they are 115. i just saw a 140 volt modded "joe servo" IDM on ebay the other day, i dont know if it's still on there.
