Unhappy Please Help w/ FPR MOD

I read a post on here somewhere about a FPR mod using a 4-40 socket head screw as the shim/spring tensioner, even had a link to pictures.
Now I cant find it.
I have spent the last 2 hrs. searching posts with no luck.
If anyone is familiar with this, please post either the link or username.
All help is appreciated.

I found it, in the first place I should have looked.
The infamous "Common Mods" Thread.
I know, I suffer from cranial rectitus.

No sweat. I've lost or forgotten more things than I've actually learned here. This place is an ecyclopedia. The index is the challenge.

Easier shim, cut the head off of a screw out of your wall outlet. Then you can turn the beveled edge into the spring and adjust measurements accrdingly.

This sounds like a great idea. Is the head of the screw now the valve where the excess fuel exits the housing?

You guys wanting to shim your FPR need to be carefull!!! Because if you have a weak/worn fuel pump and you shim it too much, you may push your pump over the edge. I only say this from experience.

No kwik, the screw body strenghens the spring at its edge and the edge with the cut head acts like the shim. It will not block any fuel flow just stiffens the spring. No other parts are removed, its just added. I know it will make a old fuel pump upset but it really makes the orings mad if they are old and baked.
