headlight wiring

hello...

i am wiring some clearance lamps, and i am not sure which wire is the wire that gives power when the light switch is on the first click.

basically, i want to wire these lamps up to go on, on the first click of the headlight switch... the one where it just lights up the ambers and taillights, but not the headlights...

Thanks!

You didn't mention the year, but on my 93'F350 it's "terminal R" on the headlight switch, which has a thick brown wires going to it.

should be easy to test for...start with the thickest wires first. You didn't mention it so I want to make sure you know...use a relay!
