I have been toying with the idea of putting nitrous on my 92 ranger 3.0l almost every since I got it but I want to know how big of a shot can I run on the 3.0l.Im not new to nitrous as my bike has a 50hp shot of nitrous on it.Will my ranger hold a 100hp shot or a 50hp shot or is it better to buy some mods for it first?CAM/Headers/Heads dont know of any/Intake
100hp shot would really be pushing your luck for a stock 3.0 liter. I wouldn't advise more than 50hp shot for it. Be sure you run high octane fuel when using it and adjust the timing accordingly . . . you probably are aware of this already but just wanted to mention it.
Thanx for the reply ill just not put nitrous on it then.Dont really want to build it just for a 100hp shot.Already have my project car that im building for that.
I think they used to recommend 10hp per cylinder to be on the safe side. So 60ish would work. Just be sure to consider the safe accessories, wide open throttle switch, fuel pressure switch, bottle heater/blanket, gauges, ect.
