smoke is pouring out from around the turbo area under boost and i cant seem to pin point the leak, i have tightened all the clamps and it is still leaking, anyone have any ideas?
I haven't notice smoke really, but I have not looked while it is running. Mine does have oil and soot splattered all over the underside of the hood. The hood is white with no hood liner so it is easy to see. Mostly concentrated directly over the turbo. They are putting a new turbo on it now. I won't now if this fixes the problem till next week. Apparently for a qualified diesel tech, this is a 1.5 week job.
it takes them a week and a half to replace the turbo that doesn't sound right. the turbo isn't that hard to get to and replace. I can put an entire supercharger system and intercooler on the new bodied mustangs in a day, day and a half. that is with nothing to start with. at least all the plumbing a exhaust is already there all thay have to do is remove some parts and put them back shouldn,t take more than 2 maybe 3 days. why are they replacing the turbo?
Well, just got off the phone with them, I guess they were waiting for me to give them the go ahead to repair it. Keep in mind this was scheduled for the truck to be dropped off monday morning (25th). I guess they thought I just wanted them to store it?
mine doent have a lack of power for one it is chipped and will smoke all the little rice burners who try me. also no oil any where just soot all over the passengerside and under cowl in the engine compartment.
