Hi everyone,
I have spent the last couple hours searching the forums, and I don't really have a clear answer to my problems so I will try my own thread. I have a 1992 Ford e350 Club Wagon with a 7.3l na diesel. I have recently noticed a vibration when on the highway under acceleration. If I am loaded it is worse and it seems to do it at all speeds but it doesn't seem to be right from a dead stop. Even just cruising with a slight grade to the road the vibration will increase. If I let of the pedal and coast up the hill it will dissappear. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Corey
Ok, I climbed under the van tonight and I think I found a serious problem. I can't find any looseness in the u-joints, but I did find a fair bit of play in the output shaft of the transmission. It is a rebuilt e4od with about 30000miles on it. Is there any chance this isn't too serious? Should I stop driving it? Any suggestions would be great - btw, it isn't leaking any fluid out the rear tranny seal and the level is good in the trans.
Thanks
Corey
