Trailer Towing Package?
I bought a 2000 Explorer and was wondering are there any giveaways that it has or has not got the towing package. It looks like it's never had a trailer ball put on the bumper.

If you have the towing package, I believe there should be a plug somewhere around the center bottom of the bumper for a 4-pin pigtail line to plug into. It will be a round plug style with a cap on it. Also check in your rear compartment for the pigtail.
If it does not, there are plenty of places you can get the t-adapter to plug one in.

I beleive if it has the towing package you will have a transmission oil cooler that you can see under the front bumper in front of the motor (looks like a small radiator). You will also have a limited slip rear w/3.73 gears (there should be a tag on the axle that says what gears you have).
