You mean that the housing for the axle shafts is 4" high and 4" thick (measured front to back)?
That doesn't seem right - the F150 axle housing that PUD measured was 5.5" high and 3.5" thick. Doesn't quite make sense to me that the F250 axle housing would be smaller than one from an F250....
Correction: what I meant to say was that
It doesn't quite make sense to me that the F250 axle housing would be smaller than one from an F150.
Not to say that this isn't the case - weirder things have been done by vehicle manufacturers. Just seems odd that the larger, heavier F250 would have a smaller axle housing than an F150......
Ill take some pics tomorow of the measurements, and where I did them. I might even stop by the JY with my tape and have a look-see...we'll see how the day progresses. Im really curious to see how this turns out. I want to get my F150 8-lug so I can change tires/wheels between it and my F350.

That would be cool. As much as I'd like to run to the boneyard RIGHT NOW to find out for myself, I have so much on my plate I doubt that I will be able to until next weekend at the earliest.....
Obvoiusly we are measuring at different points on the housing. I measured right next to the leafs towards the wheel.
Well, that sure sounds like the right location. Very curious......
4" height for the F250 TTB and more than 5.5" height for the "forks" on the F150 radius arms sounds like it may require a little fab work to make 'em fit. At least it would be a case of narrowing the "fork" in the arm - instead of having to widen it. Making it narrower should be a lot easier than trying to make it wider....

I went and measured some reference points to where I made my origional measurements. They are inward 4" fom the top balljoint, or 4" outward from the outer edge of the frame.
For curiosity i measured about where the outer edge of the leaf pack would be (about where skiov would have measured) and it was ~4" high, and ~ 3.5" wide.
I think the beams are a little different guys....theres a bit of a step in the taper on the top of the f150 beam, where the f250 beam has a straight taper. Now I think the F150 beam starts tapering earlier so in can flatten out create a shoulder where the RA bracket and coil bases mount. It would be worse the other way around.
