I have seen some posts stating that there is a button behind the dash to remove the headlight switch **** but I just bought a 79 F250 and both the headlight **** as well as the wiper **** is missing. If I understand correctly, on the headlight switch, the whole shaft comes out connected to the ****. My **** is missing but the shaft is all there. I can still turn on the lights by simply pulling out the shaft. My question is, did they make different types or do I need to replace the whole ****/shaft assembly?
Also where can I find replacement headlight and wiper *****???
For the head light switch you'll need to replace the entire assy. (shaft and ****). As for the wiper **** you will be replacing just the ****. These parts are available "new" through the site sponsors to your left on this page or you can find these parts on evil bay from time to time in used condition, the local pick and pull yard might have them to. -Ed
With a **** for the headlight switch shaft you can use some weldbond to glue it back on if you can find it.
Or replace just the shaft that still has the ****.
There were several different **** designs depending on the year.
