Hard to start when HOT
I have a 85 F-150 with a new 302 and a Holley 4bbl vacuum secondary carb. The truck starts up just fine when cold. Today, I let it idle in the driveway for about 25 minutes while I filled the transmission with fluid. It idled and I revved it up only a couple of times.
Anyway... I turned it off, waited 5 mins and then went to turn it back on. I had to turn it over for a good 20 - 30 seconds before it would start. I let it idle for a min then turned it off. It started right back up.
Then I turned it off again and waited a few minutes, this time it was hard to start again. Once I got it started I shut it down and then it fired right back up.
I turned it off and waited about 30 minutes... the truck was still pretty warm. Again, a hard start. Turn it off, it fired right back up.
Anybody have a clue what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Sal
