Bad window motor?
Hey guys. I have a 2000 Super Duty supercab with 155K on the clock. Well, it seems that my passenger's side window is dying. It goes up VERY slowly, and sometimes comes to a dead stop when it's cold outside. Is this just a bad motor? Or is it something else? A motor doesn't seem too hard to change. Is it?

You need to take the door cover off and look at it and see if it is binding go up & down. Once up does it go down fine? You might need to alighn it or lube the lower guides. This has been a issue in other trucks I owned but you won't know whagt it is until you look at what's going on behind the panel.

I had a 2001 F150 that did the same thing. I had the extended warranty so I took it to the garage thinking it was the electric motor. They told me it was not but instead the window channel rubber which was not covered (of course!). So I bought it from them and replaced it myself. Sure enough, that's what it was! I was not able to see anything wrong with the rubber. Good luck!
