Carb ?
I have a '61F100 with a 223 and a Holley 1bbl carb.Could I buy a new carb and would it bolt right up? I rebuilt the old carb,and it run pretty good,but I'm tired of the manual choke and I can't get the bowl to stop leaking. Thanks for any help.

I have the same engine and carb in my '62. If you can, try flat filing the mating surfaces of the carb and reassemble. Sometimes the surfaces just get warped for whatever reason. Looks like your truck is the mate to mine, color and everything, except I have the old style wide bed.

Carb ?
I have a 64 Ford with a 262 in it. one barrel holley. I get maybe 8 mpg. Before it was rebuilt, about 500 miles ago, it got 12 mpg. what gives?? Would it be jet size? or float setting? It has run so rich it fouls the plugs. I have had it in a carb shop and they don't seem to be able to improve the mileage.
