GMs have different bed size
You know I wish I'd had been informed of this before hand. My father was going to let me use the topper off his 93 1500. Turns out his truck is 5 inches narrower in the bed. Also appears to be 1 or 2 inches shorter. I figured be a direct fit beings the Ranger and the S-10 are interchangeable. I quess I thought wrong. So what exactly is the reasoning behind a smaller bed? In my mind I want the biggest bed that will fit on the chassis. The more cargo space he better. I don't know about GM but this makes me wonder even more

I know dodges are smaller too, we had a topper from 91 f150 shortbox, and when we went to move it back home, we put on my dad's 97 shortbox 1500 dodge, the topper was about 2 inches longer, and about 6 inches wider, there was only about 1/2" on either side of the topper actually riding on the box sides.
