I have an '05 6.0L F250.
My issue is that the reverse light on the drivers side has quit working for some reason. I have check the bulb and actually replaced it. I have checked the fuse and it appears to be fine. I am running out of ideas other than tracing the wire back to the panel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I assume the passenger side is working? If it is then the problem might be at the tailgate area, quite possibly the union connector near the tag. You need a good 12v trouble light. It is invaluable for things like this. Makes finding problems a lot easier.
Do the wiring harnesses for the brake lights and the reverse lights run together? I know for a fact that the brake light works. It is just the reverse light thats not working. I am going to try and get it up on a lift in my shop and take a look at it.
