I am not sure what is wrong with my truck. I know that it needs brake pads but it makes this clicking sound when the tires are moving and it does not pull right. When I am going up a hill it feels like my tires skid or something. I took it once before to be fixed and all they did was change the brake pads. I am so confused.
How long has it been since the pads were replaced? Front only, or front & back? Was any other work done, like the rotors being turned or calipers rebuilt? Not sure what you mean by "it does not pull right".
The pads were replaced about 3 months ago, but only the back i think. When I start to go up a hill the truck does not pull correctly. It is like the tires skip or something. Nothing else has been changed on it that I know of. I have only had it about 6 months.
Hmmm......normally, the front pads are changed 2 or 3 times before the rears need replacing. Do the tires "chirp" like they're locking up and then rolling again? Do you have 4x4 or 4x2 drive? How many miles do you have on that '03?
yes it has auto 4 wheel drive. it has a click all the time when the truck is moving. it is getting louder. i am pretty sure the back pads were changed, but maybe it was the front. no they don't chirp like they are locking up. it kinda feels like when your tires spin on slick rain or snow. i just don't know.

You've probably got a differential problem. I know what you're talking about.. there are clutches in the rear differential that perform limited slip functions... when those clutches get worn, they start to slip. Is the "ticking" happen while accelerating and turning? or does it do that all the time, whether you are pressing the gas or just coasting?
the clicking noise happens i know when i am giving it gas. i am pretty sure it does it even while coasting. it has done this since i bought it. is this going to be something expensive to fix if that is for sure what it is? there is no warranty on the truck anymore. it had about 44,000 miles on it when i bought it.
one thing i noticed too, the front tires are worn a lot more than the back. quite noticeably actually. i just had tires put on it a few months ago and i can tell the front is worn a lot more than the back.
